Procbench

Peter Kuscsik, Zoltan Kuscsik

Procbench is a multiplatform information tool and CPU benchmark for x86 processors. It tests memory transfer and math capabilities of your x86 processor. It includes programs (pb_g++ and pb_gcc) to get the best GCC optimisation parameters for a CPU (GNU/Linux only).

Features:

- Identification of Intel/AMD/VIA CPUs by CPUID.
- GUI for Windows
- Report about the caches
- Memory transfer benchmark
- Instruction latency benchmark
- Best optimisation parameters for CPU, flags for GCC.

To Do/ Under Development:

- Linux (KDE) GUI. (in v0.8.?)
- Identify Via/Transmeta etc. CPUs.
- Add more benchmarking. (Multithreaded)
- lib_procbench for other apps
